3 New Updates for Team Collaboration

We are thrilled to announce that we have made some fantastic updates to flair, including a new Loom integration that makes managing absences easier.

Mass Employee Hub Invites

We understand that onboarding new hires can be time-consuming, which is why we have made it easier than ever to invite multiple employees to the flair Employee Hub with one click. This means that your new team members can hit the ground running and start using the Employee Hub’s comprehensive suite of tools.

Loom for Absences

Employees can now use Loom to quickly share a video when requesting time off. This is a great way to interact with colleagues and can be much faster than written messages! Adding a personal touch helps everyone stay connected and can improve team collaboration.

Commenting for Time Tracking

We have also introduced commenting for time tracking in the Employee Hub. Employees can now leave messages when submitting their working hours to explain any longer, shorter, or missed breaks. This feature makes it easier to keep track of hours worked and avoids the need to switch to another app or means of communication to explain irregular working hours.

We hope that these updates will help you and your team be more productive and foster collaboration. Stay tuned for more updates soon, and let us know what you're looking for from flair. We always appreciate your feedback and are committed to improving our product to meet your needs.

Revamped Career Portal Builder

More customization to help make your careers page shine! Say hello to our new drag-and-drop career portal builder.

Build Better Careers Pages

Your careers page is the heart of your recruitment efforts. It’s the first port of call for potential job applicants who are considering your organization. It’s your chance to show off your unique brand and personality. Our new career portal builder gives you more options to create eye-catching careers pages that stand out from the crowd.

The new builder comes with standard components that you can add, edit, hide, rearrange, and remove whenever you need to. You have more customization options than ever before, with the ability to add images, icons, highlights, and office locations to your career portal. It’s drag-and-drop, so you can easily create or edit your page in minutes.

New Features:

  • Drag-and-Drop Editor: Choose from a range of components that you can edit and rearrange however you like.
  • Design Customization: Add team and office photos, icons, brand imagery, and maps of office locations – it’s up to you.
  • Segmentation: You can now create multiple career portals and segment them by location or department. This is useful if you have separate recruitment processes for different offices and teams.
  • Mobile Optimization: Pages you create with our career portal builder are optimized for mobile devices – so they look great on any device.

Track Job Applicants

One of the biggest benefits of using our career portals is that they are fully integrated with Salesforce. Once a person applies for a job on your brand-new careers page, they are instantly saved as a candidate in your flair Recruiting app on Salesforce. This not only means that their data is secure, but it also facilitates the hiring process. You can review their application, arrange interviews, and track the candidate through each stage. Having candidates stored in Salesforce helps you to better structure the process and improve the candidate experience.

Migrating Your Old Career Page

To start creating a new career portal, open the Career Portal Setup tab in your flair Recruiting app.

Please note that this feature replaces our existing career page feature, which will no longer be supported from September 1, 2023. You can continue using the legacy career page until then, but we recommend that you switch over in good time and make use of our new customization options.

For more information about migrating to the new career portals, visit our Developer Hub.

Quickly Sync Payroll Data With DATEV

You asked, we listened: Our new DATEV integration makes it easier for you to manage your payroll.

Set Up Your Integration in Seconds

With over half a million customers, DATEV is the leading tax and payroll software in Germany. Tax advisors, auditors, and lawyers use the software to handle accounting tasks, and many German companies use DATEV to process payroll and securely communicate with tax advisors.

Now you can directly integrate flair with DATEV in seconds. Simply open the flair HR app, add the integration from the HR Admin page, and connect to DATEV using your login details. Then you’ll be able to securely send accurate employee and payroll data to DATEV at the touch of a button.

Seamless Data Transfer

Integrating flair with DATEV saves you time and effort in your accounting. The integration not only automates payroll processes but also improves the accuracy of your financial reporting. As you eliminate the need to manually enter data, there is less risk of error, which gives you peace of mind when processing payroll.

Currently, our integration automatically imports directly to DATEV LODAS. For DATEV Lohn & Gehalt, our integration can automatically create ASCII files that you can easily import in DATEV in just a few steps.

Loom Videos in Workflows

Loom videos meet flair workflows! We’ve integrated our favorite video tool into another one of our features, making it easier for you to collaborate with your colleagues.

Video Is the Way To Go

Instructional videos are an efficient and entertaining way to learn something new. A TechSmith survey showed that 83% of respondents prefer watching videos to reading or listening to informational content. Especially for more complicated processes, it can help to actually see a demonstration, rather than read a description.

That’s why we’ve made it possible for you to add Loom videos to your workflow items. Loom is a video messaging tool that allows you to record your screen and voice and share the video with others. You may have already seen it in our Cheers feature.

With Loom videos, you can record your screen to demonstrate how to complete the workflow item, meaning there’s no need to write an essay. And, by showing your face and voice in the video, you can add a personal touch – which is especially important for remote teams!

Make your information easier to absorb by adding videos alongside written documents and meetings. Video workflows are also really scalable – simply record your video once and use it again and again as new people join your organization. This can be an efficient way for team leaders to introduce themselves to new starters, saving time for questions in face-to-face meetings.

Which Processes Can Benefit From Video?

  • Onboarding Presentations: Help new hires get to know your company’s vision and strategy. Simply record a presentation once and share it with every new starter. No need to host the same presentation every other week.
  • Learning New Tools: Sometimes, it’s quicker and easier to show a process rather than explain it in writing. Record your screen to explain relevant software, add videos to onboarding workflows, and share them with other employees.
  • Sharing Company Policies: Explaining company policies doesn’t require an all-company meeting. Using video workflows, your employees can view company policies in their own time, so you can save meetings for more engaging topics.

Adding Videos to Workflows

First of all, you’ll need a Loom account (you can get started with a free version). Get ready to record your screen and then start the recording. You can choose to record your face too, or simply show what’s happening on your screen. Once you’re finished with your recording, you will receive a sharing link for your video.

Next, when creating a new workflow item in the flair HR app, simply paste the Loom video link into the Instructions Loom Url field. Now, when an employee views the workflow item in the Employee Hub, they will see your video.

Check the Workplace Vibe with Surveys

Build employee surveys, utilize smart check-ins, and gain actionable insights into your workforce. 🤩

Employee engagement tools help cultivate a culture of creativity, innovation, productivity, and feedback.

That's why we've launched three survey features. They offer an invaluable opportunity for employers to collect meaningful opinions and perspectives of their workforce.

Custom Engagement Surveys

Not every organization has the same structure or processes. So it's important to be able to tailor feedback surveys to your product, service, or workforce.

Through our HR app, flair users can customize their own engagement survey questions. Draft engaging questions, collect important feedback, and visualize the data using flair.

Smart Smiley Check-Ins

Gauge the mood of staff through this smart emoticon check-in feature. Ask employees to respond to a question or phrase using simple smiley faces accessible to staff through the Employee Hub and email.

It's a fast, fun, and effective way to display indicators on subjects like employee satisfaction, workload, and overall well-being.

Measure eNPS

Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is an important metric used to rate employee satisfaction, loyalty, and likelihood to recommend their employer.

Companies can now gain invaluable insight into the workplace atmosphere, thanks to our eNPS feature. With it, employees are empowered to give a clear picture of how they feel about working for a company.

Create eNPS surveys on the flair HR app on Salesforce, automate survey communication, and with our results page, measure workplace satisfaction over time.

For more information about our employee engagement tools, check out the Learning Hub guide on eNPS Surveys and Smiley Check-Ins.
