A New Design for Workflows! 🧞

We are thrilled to announce the new design for Workflows! Now, you are free to organize your workflows' visualization in the way that works better for you.

What did we change?

Information is organized based on to whom the workflow belongs:

  • "All" will collect all the workflows you are involved together.
  • "For me" will collect all the workflows you have assigned.
  • "For others" will collect all the workflows assigned to others but when you have one or more tasks assigned to you.

Everything is shown in tables with nice sorting and filtering abilities. That way, you can see and keep focused on only what you need.

You can choose between workflows-view vs. tasks-view. This switcher, in the task position, is ideal for a recurrent task in many workflows.

In the workflows view, we've added an overview so you have a visual hint about the workflow's progression at a glance – with no click required.

In the tasks view, we've added the option to let you update the status from the table itself.

We've added many other improvements such as employee's information on hover, start/end date hint, your closest task... we encourage you to try and share your thoughts with us!

Shift Planner Improvements

We're constantly working to improve your shift planning experience, here's a summary of what's been improved.

Assigning labels to shifts: You can set up labels for your predefined shifts to help your employees identify areas they need to work on during their shifts. Labels can be used in different ways; either as deliverables for your employees during their shift or even as locations or sections where your employees need to work during a particular shift.
Think of it as indicators for your employees, so they can instantly know what they need to focus on during their shifts.

Notifications for shift changes: Now employees will receive email notifications for when they have been unassigned from an open shift and when an assigned shift has been deleted.

Save confirmation when editing a shift: We have added a button to prompt you to save when editing a shift. Now you can be sure all your changes when editing a shift has been successfully saved

We hope you like these improvements. Feel free to share your feedback, Let us know what you think!

Automate caring for employees to have enough breaks

One of HR's missions is protecting its employees' well-being. When people skip their break time or have just a tiny break during a hard-working day, this can affect badly on how they act and feel, and both a person and a company lose from this. Moreover, this can also go against the law requirements for breaks.

The good news is that flair now offers HRs an instrument to set up the employees' break time rules. HRs can set break rules in the Breaks section of a Time Framework. After the rules are set, the next step is to apply the Time Framework to an employee's workload. As soon as it's done, break rules become active for the employee.

Here is a video guide to getting you into the details:

We'd be happy to hear your impressions and feedback on how it works for you.

Overtime policy rules moved to a Time Framework tool

Managing employees' time refers to setting up break rules, rest rules, overtime rules, etc., — multiple things, but still, closely related.

With this logic in mind, we've made an instrument to set up the rules for the employees' working time. It's called Time Framework. Now it includes two sections: overtime and breaks.

All the previously created overtime policies are moved to the relevant time frameworks. No worries — we've kept all their settings and names, your overtime policies just look a little bit different, they are called Time Frameworks, and you get an option to set up the break rules right there too.

New address for your career page

We moved your career page to your own new domain level! Previously, your career page URL looked like https://jobs.flair.hr/your_company_name. Now, you get your own subdomain https://your_company_name.jobs.flair.hr.

In addition to our previous updates on SEO, it is also a big step to improve your overall career page visibility.

No action is needed. The API-domain and WordPress plugin configuration didn't change. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us – at support@flair.hr.

Manage your shifts with color coding!

We've introduced a colour coding function to help guide you in managing your shifts. Colour codes can now be attached to your set predefined shifts which allow you to display your shifts in different colours so you can easily identify your different shift types.

You can add colour codes when creating a new predefined shift or add them to already existing predefined shifts. It's important to ensure that you do not choose a colour that is too light to avoid making time periods not visible in the shift planner.

After adding your colour codes, they will automatically reflect after publishing your selected predefined shifts in the shift planner.

We hope you enjoy using this function, please leave your comments and feedback, we'll love to hear from you!

Tune a carryover for your company's absences

It is now possible to set absences carryover and avoid expiration completely. A whole range of different company's absences rules can be set and counted automatically.

We now offer four different ways to manage expiration in the accrual policies:

Never expire the accrued days

The absence days or hours gained in different accrual intervals are summed up and do not expire at all.

Expire at the end of an accrual interval

This means all the accrued absence time will burn out as the last day of the accrual interval is over.

Expire with unlimited carryover

This option means that all the unused days of the period will be available to use until the day you set. For example — until the last day of March or the next year.

Expire with regulated carryover

This option allows you to use only the exact amount of unused days after the interval expires. In the example, only five days can be used by employees by the end of March, no matter how many they did not use during the year.

We now offer multiposting for your job ads!

Promoting a job at different job channels is an important part of recruiting, but if not automated, it requires a lot of tedious work. Whether it's copying-pasting the job details for multiple resources, manual aggregating, or updating the data from numerous accounts. All these things are some things you would want to avoid. We understand it, and that's why we have prepared an easy way to advertise your jobs in different channels all at once and manage it right in flair.

Here is how to make your first advertising:

  1. Contact us to activate the feature
  2. Add a logo for the ads
  3. Go to the page of the job you want to promote and click "Advertise"
  4. Choose the channels that will promote your job the best
  5. Check the job details and checkout

After you've advertised the job, follow and manage the campaigns at the same tab on a job page. You can also create multiple campaigns for the job and name them as you wish.

We can't wait for you to try our new feature and share with us your experience!

Track your projects at flair!

We are adding new features to let your organization track time in different ways. From now on, you can also create your projects and let your employees track time on them!⏱You will find them under the Attendance section in Salesforce.

In this first version, you will be able to create projects only on Salesforce and set some attributes to define what the project is about, the dates, and if it's billable. Either on Salesforce or the manager's view on the HUB, you have the option to set estimation of hours to learn more and have more control over the project execution as, if it's set, you will see the Project overtime calculation.

On the Employee HUB, the managers will see the full list of projects inside the Time tracking section and be able to edit details.

As managers are also employees, they will have an option to switch in case they need to track time on any project or want to follow up on project execution. The employees will only have available the time-view.

In the next versions, we plan to let managers create projects from the HUB and add more features such as the ability to assign projects to specific departments, teams, or employees; new KPIs, and much more. Stay tuned and don't forget to subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss our updates! 😉
