3 New Updates for Team Collaboration

We are thrilled to announce that we have made some fantastic updates to flair, including a new Loom integration that makes managing absences easier.

Mass Employee Hub Invites

We understand that onboarding new hires can be time-consuming, which is why we have made it easier than ever to invite multiple employees to the flair Employee Hub with one click. This means that your new team members can hit the ground running and start using the Employee Hub’s comprehensive suite of tools.

Loom for Absences

Employees can now use Loom to quickly share a video when requesting time off. This is a great way to interact with colleagues and can be much faster than written messages! Adding a personal touch helps everyone stay connected and can improve team collaboration.

Commenting for Time Tracking

We have also introduced commenting for time tracking in the Employee Hub. Employees can now leave messages when submitting their working hours to explain any longer, shorter, or missed breaks. This feature makes it easier to keep track of hours worked and avoids the need to switch to another app or means of communication to explain irregular working hours.

We hope that these updates will help you and your team be more productive and foster collaboration. Stay tuned for more updates soon, and let us know what you're looking for from flair. We always appreciate your feedback and are committed to improving our product to meet your needs.

Announcement Comments & Project Grids

The flair solution simplifies HR management for companies of all sizes by streamlining employee-facing tasks and fostering cross-team collaboration. 🤩

In this edition of What's New in flair, we're bringing you some fresh commenting updates to enhance your company communication. We've also tweaked the design of the Projects section in the Employee Hub. Enjoy!

Announcement Comments

Be part of the company conversation. Our latest commenting feature in the Employee Hub enables flair users to celebrate, discuss and respond to company-wide announcements.

Head over to the Announcements page on the Hub, leave a comment, and join the conversation.

Mandatory Absence Comments

We know how important it is to keep communication flowing. So thanks to your valuable feedback, we've added a new mandatory comment box to the Absences page in the Employee Hub.

It allows employees to provide notes about their absences.

This feature enables a more transparent and collaborative approach to managing employee absences, improving overall communication and team engagement.

Project Grids Redesign

The Projects feature in the Hub has undergone a slight design tweak. Users can now switch from a Weekly to a Monthly Time Tracking view in Projects.

To make navigation even smoother, our designers have even added a convenient scrolling grid for monthly projects.

For more flair updates keep an eye on our What's New page or follow us on LinkedIn.

Usability & Beauty Updates at flair

Our UX Team is constantly working on revamping the Employee Hub – to make navigating an intuitive and easy process. We proudly present a new look on Salesforce, improvements in the Employee Hub, and a new look for our email reminders.

Improved Menu Bar Usability

Never get lost in the Employee Hub again! We’ve updated our menu bar so that you don’t lose track of your click path. Also, stay on top of any product updates, which you find on the bottom left of the menu bar. 🤠

flair’s New Look on Salesforce

New vision, new branding, new colors. As we are evolving we are also bringing our Salesforce apps in line with our brand. Go ahead and check out our fresh look on Salesforce! 🕺

Email Design That Pops

flair sends out email reminders to your employees about approaching deadlines, documents to be submitted, and newly assigned tasks. While this is nothing new, the emails now reach your inbox with a better look: more colors and beauty to match our new branding. 🎨

In fact, aesthetics is part of flair’s core values. This value includes far more than visual elegance. Aesthetics is the pleasure we derive from perceiving an object or experience through our senses. So we really hope you find our product both user-friendly and sleek. 😊

Collaborate Better With Comments

Have your say: You can now share comments and emojis with your colleagues in the Employee Hub.

Whether you’re asking a question or sharing feedback, communication is essential to workplace collaboration. That’s why we’ve added a commenting feature to the Employee Hub to make it easier for you to interact with your colleagues and managers within the Hub. No need to switch apps.

In-App Commenting

Our new comments feature allows you to collaborate in context. Get straight to the point by adding a comment directly where it is relevant, increasing clarity and reducing the risk of misunderstanding. Now you no longer need to leave the Employee Hub to ask a question or send screenshots to help your colleagues understand what you are referring to.

Commenting is currently available on the following pages of the Employee Hub:

  • Workflows
  • Absences
  • Expenses
  • Cheers
  • Certificates

Share Emojis, Images, & More

In addition, we’ve also expanded our emoji picker so you can add a bit of fun and emotion to your comments. These new emojis are also available as reactions on the Announcements page.

Besides emojis, you can also include images, files, and links in your comments. This improves the flow of information between managers, team members, and HR.

Why not try it out and share a comment to brighten a colleague’s day?

Timely Workflow Reminders and More 🔔

Three new improvements that improve your workflow processes and absence requests are now live.

Handy Deadline Reminders

Now you can automate deadline reminders. Projects come with deadlines and you can set the parameters using flair in Salesforce. When a deadline is approaching, an employee will receive a reminder on a date that works for the project. As an HR manager, this feature allows you to complete workflows in time and with ease.

Receive Absence Requests in Time

It’s important to outline your absence request policy and make it easy for employees to give notice of leave. Your absence request policy can be customized through the Absence Settings on the flair HR app. By adding a minimum time notice for absences you avoid short notice absence requests while making the request process smoother.

Requests for More Days Off

Employees sometimes need to seek special dispensation and request to take off more days than is outlined in your company’s absence policies, like in the event of a family emergency, accident, or special occasion. In these exceptional cases, employers will want to work with the employee to find an appropriate solution.

If this situation occurs, employees are now asked to add a document in addition to the request. The notification appears when an employee wants to request time off in the Employee Hub. A document could be a medical letter or any other relevant information.

What's New in flair: More Cheers and New flair Artwork

We’ve made some snazzy, new updates to Cheers! 🥳

An Employee Hub favorite, Cheers allows you to send coworkers funky flair artwork and messages to say thanks for a job well done.

It’s all about showing colleagues you care. Celebrating hard work and dedication can be a powerful motivator and an important part of employee recognition.

That’s why we have now upgraded the Cheers function in the Employee Hub to make it possible to send a thank you to multiple people at once.

Our design team has also created some amazing new pieces of artwork for flair users to send to team members. These add a bit of variety to the messages of gratitude that you can send to your colleagues.

Check it out now and let us know what you think!

What's New in flair: Track Your Work Hours in Slack

Manage your time better! ⌛

flair users can now track their time in Slack.

More and more workplace conversations are happening through Slack. That’s why we are making it even easier to engage with colleagues and complete HR tasks via the popular instant messenger.

The time-tracking feature on Slack gives managers a better overview of productivity. It also reminds employees to take important rest periods and breaks.

To use this time tracking function, select the flair app in your Slack channel.

Here you can connect your Employee Hub to the Slack workspace. Once you have connected with the Employee Hub, time-tracking tools will appear on the Slack page.

To start recording your work times, click the Clock In button.

From there users can choose to log their break times and also clock out when their day has ended. Try it out today and let us know what you think.

View Direct Reports only 🥳

As a manager, you might have multiple people reporting to you, either directly or indirectly. We’ve now added a button in the Employee Hub which allows you to switch from overseeing your entire reporting tree to a view that is specific to more immediate interactions.

This can be done by toggling between All Reports to Direct Reports only.

Head over to the Employee Hub and explore the Org Chart section. This is where you will find an overview of your direct and indirect reports.

For some responsibilities you might want to focus on your direct reports - for example when you review timesheets. That’s when filtering your reports gives you a better overview. When approving timesheets, change requests, absences or in expenses in the Employee Hub you will now find the button in the top right corner.

Give it a try and let us know what you think! 🙃
